71000 Sales at The East Lancashire Railway

71000 sales will be at the East Lancashire Railway End of Steam Festival on 27/28 July 2013

The ELR are to provide a marquee for exhibitors. The marquee is to be situated at the end of the platform near to the Trackside bar.

In celebration of this weekend's event 71000 sales will have a comprehensive range of memorabilia for sale many at a much reduced price.

Of  special note is that the Trust will be exhibiting two pre production models of the NEW Hornby OO scale 71000 model locomotives.

Dubbed as the model that never would be made this is an opportunity for gala attendees to have a sneak preview of what is coming later in the year.

Hornby are to produce two  locomotive models and a train pack

Hornby product code R3168 is the railroad version of the locomotive

There will be the opportunity for visitors to the 71000 sales stand to "register their interest" in the Hornby items to ensure priority of supply.

Even though stock has not yet been released there is a general expectation that these items will go "sold out" very quickly

The Trust is also pleased to announce that  a large (29" x 20") Terence Cuneo framed print entitled "The Lickey Incline" will also be available for purchase

Painted in 1968 by Cuneo this lithographic print was published also in 1968 by Felix Rosentiel's Widow and Son Ltd and is rare example of their work

This framed print will be available at the special price of  £40.00 and will be sold to the first person to meet the asking price. We do have the facility once purchased to store until going home time.

An early attendance to the sales stand is therefore advised.

As a result of a timely donation to the Trust there will also be on sale a good selection of early steam magazines many going back to the 60's

We can't offer face painting for children but there will be one or two freebies for our younger steam lovers.

We look forward to meeting you !!
